Let's experiment together!!!

If you have the inclination, 2 minutes, a glass, some water, a box of matches and the sachet with the sample, then let's give it a go!

  1. Pour 1,5 dl (5,07 oz) of water into the glass!
  2. Carefully open the sachet!
  3. Pour the mortar-additive into the water!
  4. Watch the elastic film formning on the surface of the water!
  5. Mix the powder with the water!
  6. Watch the thin skin settling on top of the water again, it may contain air bubbles and water-drops!!
  7. Take a match and imagine that the head of the match is a grain of sand in the plaster in hand!
  8. Dip the head of the match in the water, then try to strike it!
Extra steps for skeptics:
  1. Now dip one finger-tip in the liquid! (Do not get scared, what you feel is not moisture, only cold, provided you do not use hot water for the experiment!)
  2. Take your finger out and check if it still dry! (We hope so...)
